Pentir were initially approached by the Trust because they had failed to appoint to a Vice Principal role in their 3 – 16 academy in Sheffield. The Trust had a very clear idea of the expertise needed in this role and how it might complement the existing team. The biggest challenge was always going to be attracting a high quality field. Pentir reviewed the process and documentation previously used and produced a new information pack for candidates which clarified the role and emphasised the values and ambition of the Trust. Through a combination of search and advertising a strong field was attracted. It was so strong that the Trust appointed three Vice Principals rather than one, building capacity across the Trust.
We have since gone on to support the Trust with further appointments at Principal and Associate Principal level with similar levels of success.
