The Latymer School Enfield is  a prestigious grammar school in north London and one of the highest achieving co-educational schools in London.  The school had failed to appoint to this role on two separate occasions and then came to Pentir to discuss their need.  

Pentir involved those within the school to gain a detailed understanding of the context.  We wanted to ensure we had a clear proposition to bring to the market.   We concluded there was no reason why a professional search and national advertising with a clear message wouldn’t attract a strong field.  The role is high profile and an attractive one given the reputation of the school and its history – established 400 years ago in 1624.

A combination of headhunting and targeted advertisement was used to attract a high quality field and Governors shortlisted six candidates.  Pentir supported the Governors by designing and implementing an appropriate assessment process and attended the final interview.  The quality of candidates was at a different level from those previously shortlisted.
