We are a multi-academy trust based in Norwich, educating 8,000 children in 14 schools throughout Norfolk and north Suffolk. The candidate information pack which can be downloaded from the How to Apply section above gives further information about the Trust, our ethos and our ambitions.
We want to appoint an outstanding CEO to lead the Trust in the next phase of its development, building on the achievements of Dame Rachel de Souza, our inspirational founding CEO who becomes the national Children’s Commissioner in March.
Dame Rachel leaves the Trust in a very strong position, but we are clear that the journey has only just begun. The new CEO will be expected to build on the strong foundations and drive the Trust’s performance to even higher levels.
Where next on that journey? It is our default position to constantly seek ways to improve the educational outcomes for the children we educate. So whilst we have a number of schools that are outstanding, as well as nationally recognised curriculum standards supported by highly efficient centralised functions, there are a number of areas we want the new CEO to focus on, specifically:
continuing to narrow the attainment gap between PP & non-PP students;
ensuring our primary school provision is uniformly high across all our schools;
developing our inclusion and SEN delivery to meet our goal to be upper quartile nationally;
balancing the curriculum so that it works for students of all abilities - from the high achieving to those for whom a strong vocational programme will better equip them for the future; and
providing sixth forms that are both excellent and relevant to their students and catchments, with high grade career advice and exposure to future learning opportunities.
The Trust has grown from a single school in 2012 to its current size. We want to continue to grow the Trust within our current East Anglian geographical footprint, continually investing in the strong support we give our schools, from innovative curriculum development through exceptional central leadership.
We look forward to hearing if you believe you have the exceptional qualities and determination to lead the Trust on the next phase of the journey.
