Thank you for your interest in the Trust and this role.
This is an organisation founded in a philanthropic conviction to do what we can to improve life and career prospects for children who otherwise might just not have the opportunity to enjoy and benefit from the kind of environment and education that we would all aspire to for our own children.
That leads us to some challenging contexts, some long journeys and the need for relentless dedication. We do not shy away from challenge and the true reward from this role is the genuine difference that we make every year to the life prospects of young people and the communities in which we operate.
Our mission has been well served by experienced, dedicated and creative leadership of long tenure. Our leaders develop, over time, an intimate appreciation of our complex situations and the uniqueness of every school, subject, employee and student. That allows them to devise and execute carefully crafted plans to move our schools forward in ways that are right for each while managing the often conflicting need for cost and operational efficiency.
We will develop the aspiration for our next phase with our new leader but we will continue in our dedication for maximum benefit rather than highest accolade, for best impact for our students rather than operational simplicity and to provide as much support as we are able to improve education for children in schools beyond our own and, where we can, contribute to the national agenda.
