Thank you for your interest in the role of Chief Executive for the Thomas Deacon Education Trust (TDET). I hope you find the contents of this document useful and exciting.
We are a multi-academy Trust based in Peterborough and North Cambridgeshire. Our organisation is values-led, putting Trust, Diversity, Excellence and Transformation at the centre of all that we do. Our academies and our pupils are diverse, representing the make-up of our society, and we exclude no groups from our provision.
At the core of our Trust, we have support services that liberate and empower our individual academies to provide for the academic and welfare needs of everyone within TDET. Strong governance procedures sit at the heart of all that we strive to achieve, and this allows for a diversity of provision whilst ensuring that our unity of purpose is maintained.
Like so many Trusts, we are proud of our achievements, yet we are also mindful of the need to constantly evaluate our performance and challenge ourselves to improve.
Our new Chief Executive will take over an excellent Trust that has come a long way under the expert guidance of Julie Taylor and our team of senior leaders and Principals. We are a Trust that has an appetite to move forwards and continue to evolve, while remaining true to the bedrock values that our Trustees, staff, parents, children and young people embrace.
The new Chief Executive will be asked to work closely with the Board and the staff team across the Trust to play a lead role in developing our new 5-year strategic plan for 2022 -2027. The plan will be focused on four main themes that have been agreed by the Trustees:
It is the Trust’s ambition to develop a new operating model to be launched in September 2022 with a clear business plan to underpin it. Our new Chief Executive will be central to this process.
We would love to receive an application from you if you share our vision and values and are committed to improving outcomes for everyone, across our academies and within our communities.
Richard Barnes
Chair, Thomas Deacon Education Trust
